Tony - the original jig, that inspired this tye, is a 1/80th minnow head on a #10 hook. The guy I got it from said that it was no longer being made. I did some that were pretty good imitations but it took to long to paint and the fish would inhale them all most every time. So I bumped up the size to a 1/32nd (for casting) and a #8 Matzuo sickle hook (incredibly sharp/slightly wider hook bend). Very small hook barb as well. The jig sinks at a slow rate  - think its because the legs and arms displace water while it sinks. We have had extremely clear water, for quite awhile now, and I've had the opportunity to watch the jig in action.

PM snail mail and I'll send you some. Dick should be getting his in a couple of days..

Due to my penchant for the slow fall presentation, I would LOVE to see these in a 1/80 oz version....Any plans to downsize Led??? (Not that you seem to need any help catching fish!)

Thnx everyone

Like to see a pic of your tye Jim - the one you got your PB on. Great jig - the only thing I've been throwing all season, so far.

Greg - have the tutorial posted as an album, blog probably is better.

LedHed, That is a GREAT TIE!!!!!!! You REALLY ought to put that in the FORM of a BLOG, BEFORE the PICTURES GET LOST in the MIX!!!!!!!
