John we know sometimes bigger isn't better and the fish will dictate that as you have found out. Nice bass

Thanks Dick1, tried  throwing the bigger baits but no dice. This small Jig spin has been catching though .

David ,yes it's Cupsaw Lake in Ringwood .I live up the block from the lake ,just like I did where I grew up in Packanack lake .It's my 2nd childhood. Trying to make up for all those fish I lost as a kid because I never set the hook.
