Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

This fish was 18" I didn't weigh her but don't feel like a liar when I say about 3 and 3/4 lbs. A thrill to be wading in the water up to my waist ,wearing old jeans and sneakers and having this encounter . Took a Philips, 'Crippled Killer' .Dual prop top water bait . 12# test ,Quantum Alliance Med.Heavy Spinning Rod ,Penn Silverado Reel .Handled the fish well .I got her inside the weedline parallel casting .
