Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Fished from shore for an hour in the rain. By an inflow pipe. After getting the tail bite off this 1.5" soft minnow Bait , this Crappie got hooked .Missed many fish after that, they just nipped .Switched to another un -chewed body with paddle tail intact and nips but no takes .I threw a small float/hook and crawler piece in the area of the misses and quickly caught 10 BG, one WP and one PS.Had to pinch down barb .
Then switched over to a 16th oz. un-tipped Squirrel Tail Jig and got two WP , 2 YP and one Bass .Also had to pinch down barb.

The one I used here is a Storm 'Bait and Switch 16th oz. size. The packs I bought have three size heads ,16th, 32nd and 64th, and extra bodies. The bodies are extremely fragile and I have to say I am not sure I like these all that much .I just wanted to go smaller than the 2" Keitech Easy Shiner  I like better . I prefer the 1"  Gulp Minnows. for durability. I think Storm  should make a more durable version . I did catch some aggressive Pseeds and White Perch on this bait though . What brand do you use Slip?
