Thanks Jeff. The fish had a little more red on gill flap than this picture shows. The way I took the picture and had the fish turned at a slight angle gives the illusion that there isn't much red, but when I zoom in on the original picture the red is a bit more discernible:

Nice pic Ben. You can really see how narrow and slanted back Redear's heads and bodies are. Almost like a bass. They also have a slight overbite showing that they are primarily bottom feeders. This young fish doesn't yet have much of a red "ear" does she. Pretty fish.
