Thanks again James......we're close to turning over in the rivers here in Northeast N.C.....things are slowing down for my beloved Coppernose......but I'll keep chasing a few perch and maybe a northern gill here and there....

I here you Vince......you can't go wrong with any type of B &M telescopic Mike.....they have many spin offs....I prefer ten to twelve footers most often for catching gills........length depends on your location, overhangs, fish location....etc.....I use heavier line than these poles will call for with no real issues.......that to depends on water clarity, cover and other things......

There is nothing like the simplicity of a telescopic rod. I love fishing them when a good gill grabs my bait and does it's circle dance. Congrats on a good thick gill, Jeffrey!
