Do you love big bluegill?
This is a Sacramento Perch > the "only" species of Sunfish that is native to the Western US. But they have been almost eliminated, because of competion from all of our imported species... LM bass, Bluegill, etc. Caught at a little pond about 5 miles from my house :) Need to go try again for some better shots...

Beautiful little fish.
Real cool fish .I understand California ,Nevada and Utah are the three states you can find this rare fish .
That is an awesome looking fish!!! Love the colors, looks like it has snake skin.,
Another first again something I have never seen before great fish though love the markings. They are kinda unique looking.
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice pic! I gather SP are supposedly a little more common in the Sacramento-San Joaquin delta system, but despite living in that end of the state and usually fishing out that way, I've never seen an SP myself.
