Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Caught about 50 crappie , several gar, 3 bass and a small puppy drum. Water temp was about 51.7 at daybreak, and it got up to 54 the last place I fished. Used jigs and minnows, fished 4-7' deep. Fish were on the bottom early, and came up slightly as the sun came

Thanks Jeffrey. The guys in that Albemarle Crappie Trail caught some really nice fish over the weekend. I may try and go up and fish with them on 1/2/21. They will pull the river out of a hat the night before the tournament. They seem to have a pretty good trail started.

I love a nice box of "river" blacks!  Great job Jack....nice pattern and the puppy drum reminds us that you're fishing in brackish water......nice day.......we lost both days up here this weekend to the storm......

Thanks John. A red drum especially a small one is commonly referred to as a puppy drum in ENC.
