I bet you every stump in the picture is in 4-5 feet of water. It's all flat. They make travel very risk when the water is about 5 inches higher. The big bream are caught up against the cypress trees near the bank in the shade. Makes for very nice fishing, you just have to watch for the snakes falling out of trees.

It's definitely one of my favorite places to fish. It's a natural wonder, and even if you don't catch any fish, which is unlikely, there's no shortage of spectacular views. Also, there's every type of habitat where you can catch the bubble nose bream, crappie, catfish, largemouth, hybrid bass, and the occasional trash fish such as a grennel or a freshwater drum, which are very fun on a jig pole.
