Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

My new Chehalis came today.
This is how it comes out of the box, packed in its shoulder pack bag.
I won't be toting it to remote mountain lakes, so the bag will be just handy
It's a big bag full, at about 30x18x24. The little I looked at it, it seems pretty tough.

Here again, like with boats, float tubes are very personal
People add all kind of accouterments as they see fit, or as needs arise.
The tubes and pontoon boats I'm familiar with, however, are essentially ready to launch (pump excluded). Beyond that, the sky is literally the limit.

My suggestion to anyone considering a tube or pontoon is to sort out inflation methods BEFORE buying. Order the appropriate pump at time of purchase, get one ahead of time, etc.

David, just ramping up the excitement and danger of fishing for myself a little ,LOL!

Thanks David. I didn't know if a tube came with everything needed to be ready to go right out of the box, or if additional items were needed.

Some include pumps, most do not because people use all different kinds. This model does not include a pump. At the price paid for it, though, I will buy one @ $20.
I have a 12v powered pump I will use initially, anyway. The hand pump will augmented that pump.

One question if I may....do these tubes come with a pump, or do you have to supply your own?

John, that's one heck of a story!

Thanks to you, I've just sent the thing back.

David ,got one for you ;In my younger days back in the early 80's I guess I obtained an inflatable boat and use to cart it around on my back in a corduroy pack my wonderful wife Linda made for me with her sewing skills. Had a lot of fun with it . The last time I used it though ,up in Maine , about 10 years ago I discovered there was a slow leak as I was out on the water .It was very awkward fishing in a position that required using my head to plug the leak while casting and catching fish but I was not gonna be denied and I was already out there on the water !

Let's hope it is fun and functional, fellas!
I'm still leery of the whole "inflatable boat near sticks, rocks and fish hooks," thing. The bet I'm making here is that so many others do it with success, my fears are unfounded
By contrast, I note very few people here in the SE use them; it seems to be a Western thing.
This stirs some confusion, but I remain hopeful.
Biting nails on crossed fingers,
I remain yours truly,

David
