Sunfishes have the ability to tolerate a high saline content in their waters. Brackish waters are no problem for them. Does it affect their growth? Possibly so. I know there are limits to their tolerance.

It does look like some great stuff.

Jeffrey I'm afraid if I were there manning the trolling motor in suck a peaceful and tranquil place I wood fall asleep at the helm. Looks like a great place to wet a line.

There's big gills caught in both, but the North Carolina state record Bluegill and Shellcracker both come from freshwater lakes and ponds..............I catch many gills over a pound every year so I'm hooked.......it's just learning your water and adjusting to those fish........

All these waters are connected to the Albemarle Sound which connects to the Atlantic, hence everything is brackish.....The great thing is we don't muddy up during rains and high water..........
