… i made the mistake of catching a 10" class B'Gill the second day learning on how to use a flyrod on a new set-up. after that i wanted to catch everything on it... its all i wanted to use. my productivity suffered because i was forcing its use when i should have been using more productive methods at the time. there is a time and a place where it shines.
True the fly rod is now in my arsenal and I find it a fun challenge. I will go with what ever is working at the time. Spinning gear, telescopic poles and cane poles with lures or live bait. All have their time and place.
KEITH;; WHAT ABOUT THE BASS YOU CAUGHT ON THE FLY ROD ?? ANY FUN FIGHTING THEM ?? JUST WAIT;; IT ONLY GETS BETTER !!
I was feeling good about the fly rod Carl till Beth reeled in that monster with my rod and reel.
YEP;; KEITH IS FINALLY GETTING ADDICTED TO THE FLY ROD !! WAY TO GO KEITH; AND A NICE LITTLE GILL ON DICKS POPPING BUGS !! TRY A DROPPER ON A POPPING BUG;; DOUBLE THE FUN !!
Mouth full of hook. Glad the popper is working for you Keith.
