Mark , just got the one Crappie on this bait .A 1/4 oz. 3.5" Yozuri floating  Minnow. Purple /black back, silver sides. I twitched it on top and the Crappie hit it a few times before nailing it .I tried a smaller 2" Blue back silver sided Floating Rapala after this but nothing . I only catch a few Crappie with these floating minnow type baits .Small sized Husky Jerk works also.

Nice Crappie. I know crappies have big eye but this guy has giant eyes looks impressive.

This nesting fish nipped at this Yozuri minnow bait two or three times before upset enough to inhale it .
