The Whites and Yellow Perch are notorious for following straight to the boat  and giving up the chase . All fish at times do this I guess but lately it seems to be an early summer association more true about WP and YP.

Being nomadic, they have to grab fast and move.
Many of the game fish hide or take cover and wait
or prowl around for food.
But not these guys. They charge around a lake looking for food.
Here one minute, gone the next. Like those anglers that pursue them,
they have to strike hard when they can.

YES, love these guys! I know when I have one on . They don't head for the surface like a Bass, give up like a Yellow perch or Crappie , swim in erratic circles like a Gill , they bulldog in an attempt to get straight back to the bottom . I'm thinking these fish are so aggressive they may have a wider strike zone then the other fish in the lake .
