Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Personal Best ....May 2012 10" Flier @ 19 ounces

This fish is currently in Minneapolis, Minnesota for some world class taxidermy art....Look forward to seeing the end result...Only 3 ounces from breaking the North Carolina and subsequently the World records.....

Absolutely Tim...I can't wait.......Apparently Fliers can thrive in a pond environment as the two largest fish ever recorded including the world record fish is from a North Carolina pond.......Of course, I don't know the details as far as pond size and species make-up.........I don't have any pond management experience so I'll save that question for folks that are qualified to answer.......

Yea, that's a slab of a flier. Wonder if those fish can survive in ponds/watersheds in my neck of the woods?

Nice one jeff.  I think I will turn that one into plastic for some home decor.

Here's the fish I'm talking about Jason......a lot of references say these fish top out at 5 to 7 inches and I feel very lucky to catch many fish above 9" and a few over 10"........
