Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

A Slump Buster fly I tied using #10 nymph hook and used hourglass eyes in place of a conehead.

I'm crazy about the rabbit zonker jigs and flies. Have a lot of them tied up in my box and love the way they move in the water. Seen the squirrel zonkers and had to order some!  I made a zonker cutter and board to cut some rabbit hides I had and tried to order some soft squirrel skins but they were sold out for this year. The squirrel flies work just like the rabbit flies in the water just a lot shorter hair and can be tied on smaller size hooks, maybe down to a #14.

Thats interesting cause I bought a couple dozen rabbit hair jigs to try this year. When they are under the water it almost looks like there breathing. I got some 1/32 oz and 1/8 oz. If they work as good as I think I'll be getting some more

It's squirrel zonker cut the same as rabbit zonkers.
