I am now thinking the above is a Female Chub. The link below, a Male Fathead minnow.

Thanks for help in IDing guys!

This is what I always referred to as a Creek Chub : http://bigbluegill.com/photo/creek-chub?context=user

It was caught yesterday in the same river.

After thought and seeing photos on searches  it definatly isn't a White Sucker.I was wrong about that.  I still think it looks like either a Fall fish or a very good size Chub for the small brook it was caught in .I am still uncertain as to a definitive ID!

Looks like fun fishin', no matter. My money's on chub:

  • "description  (in  chub (fish))
    • In North America the name chub is applied to many cyprinids, among them the abundant, widely distributed creek and hornyhead chubs (Semotilus atromaculatus and Nocomis, sometimes Hybopsis, biguttata). The creek chub is found in quiet streams in eastern and central North America....

Maybe a fall fish?

You might be correct Eric .I dont see the black stripe that's supposed to be present though . The mouth does look more chub like than sucker I'll agree .If this is a  Chub ,it has got to be the largest I've caught in this small stream (chubs are usually 5" and smaller there )This one was about a foot or more.
