Yeah well Tooty ,today I envy your snow plow !LOL!

Adam we had 6-7 " I guess and yes, ice fishing with a beaked hat instead of pullover hat ,and fishing without gloves till towards the end is very comfortable!

I've gotta say aside from the slush, it felt kinda good to be ice fishing in 40 degree weather, still had about 8" of ice, again nice fish.

Keep on catchin those nice crappie John. They were hitting the same here in Ohio on Saturday, very light bites. Ended up with about a dozen fish, no picture worthy fish. My Dad caught the biggest gill at 8 inches.

Thanks for the encouragement Dick and Carl! Warm evening ,a little slushy but very invigorating.

It was slow at the start ,trying .A few dink Perch and Gills hitting lightly .  When the other fisherman left I went to my favorite spot and  zeroed in on the Crappies using bigger heavier spoons than the trip out before .I tipped with the minnow heads and tails from the dead shiners left on the ice by the tip up fisherman . That free bait was my favorite part .Got five Crappie ,biggest was 12.5 .Also the biggest Perch; only ten inches, took the spoon bait shiner piece combo . The Gills unfortunately were small and were taken using small ice jigs with waxies or spikes and dead sticked .
