Yes, pellet flies near the feeders are allowed. :)  We fish for many reasons.  Sustinence, action, solitude, ego, trophy pursuit, photos, etc.  There are very few opportunities to go after all of the reasons simultaneously.  So pick one you like and go for it! :)  If catching a mega-giant, then maybe this is your cup of tea.

illinois is 3-8 farm pond.our largemouth record is 13 something.knew a guy years ago i worked with1st time fishing caught a 14 pound bass.had it weighed on a certified scale then ate it.true story.i saw a 3 pounder in indiana.was at a bait store,they took it out of the freezer and showed it to us.1 and 2 pounders were pretty common then.my uncle had a mount of 3 gills over 2 caught in michigan

Just looked up michigans state record for bluegill 2.8 lbs at 13.8". Wow! I had know idea we grew them that big. Caught in very public BOW in the early eighties.
