Wowser! I wonder if it would swim away for using itself as a battering ram when facing a predator.

He did put up a good fight. Actually, I'm not sure where this fish stands in the general scheme of things. I know when he was stocked, and what size he was then, and he's "short" for his age. Most of the fish from that stocking are over 10" now, and their weights range from a little over a pound, to almost a pound and a half. It's almost like he's got the approx. correct mass,  just not the length.

And yes, he was returned to the water.

Amazing chunk!Bulging eyes !His eyes are not bigger than his stomach though  .That boy likes to eat!Tony do you think he's a slow swimmer with that tail and that weight ?Bet he's powerful though.
