Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

This canal is one of the waterways that connects the Chesapeake Bay with the Outer Banks of North carolina. I catch alot of nice Blue Crabs and Bluegills in this location.

These old piling structures hold some great gills.....I like to fish a little deeper around them in the fall but beware of apex predators or terminal tackle might just be terminated......

Nice waterway to fish bluegill. The most Seeds I ever caught in one trip was on this canal. It stretches from the Elizabeth River in Virginia via a lock system at Great Bridge down to the North River in Carolina spilling into the Currituck Sound. Boat traffic can be heavy at times.
