Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I caught a few on the Tabbert poppers late in the day, this one really wanted this popper.

… i made the mistake of catching a 10" class B'Gill the second day learning on how to use a flyrod on a new set-up. after that i wanted to catch everything on it... its all i wanted to use. my productivity suffered because i was forcing  its use when i should have been using more productive methods at the time. there is a time and a place where it shines.

True the fly rod is now in my arsenal and I find it a  fun challenge. I will go with what ever is working at the time. Spinning gear, telescopic poles and cane poles with lures or live bait. All have their time and place.
