They are great fighters, especially when you get up there in the 12-14 inch range......more people fish white perch here in coastal N.C. than bluegill...very popular around these parts....
Hey Jeffrey you gonna back me up that they fight good for their size?:)
Thanks guys.....we could have a great day on the water John!
Yes but Dick they fight good for their size
Nice white perch. I know sometime them things can be aggravating.
Wish I WAS with you !
Thanks John....had Largemouth, Warmouth, Redear, Yellow Perch, White Perch, Pumpkinseed and Coppernose...
7 different species?That's fantastic!
Caught something today that looked like a white perch, and sorta like a bass. It got tangled in the weeds about ten feet out and I never got a good look at it. I considered wading in, but after my last such incident I settled fro the break-off.
If it was a bass, it was small. If it was a white perch it was huge!
And, I caught it at the mouth of a small, rain swollen creek on... you guessed it...
A Beetle Spin.
If John Sheehan would have been with me today he might have started to fish White Perch full time.......We released eight today that hit jigs tipped with crickets........Beetle Spins would have killed them.....
