Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Put New Line on Twelve of my Telescopics This Afternoon.......

Restrung a couple (16) footers, two (13) footers, a (12) footer and (7) ten footers as I get prepped for my favorite time of the year..........I have (16) ten footers and usually set (2) up with the same bait so I can quickly change poles if any problems occur.....e.g. wrapped line, knots...etc. I will soon retire the 16 footers for the season and will sail with roughly two dozen 10/12 footers despite only fishing one at a time........

I was thinking 10 or 12 foot...I'm asking if anyone can recommend a good brand or a specific model. (that won't break the bank)

I like the 12 foot so far because it keeps enough line out just for incase the fish doesn't commit I still have enough time to react to not snatching everything out the water but also I have enough reaction time to set the hook when they do stay committed

Got a recommendation for a good telescopic pole for a shorebound angler who is reasonably experienced with spinning gear, but never used telescopic?

Joe do you see one you like?......LOL

The biggest thing folks need to remember when purchasing a telescopic pole is that this type of pole is expendable.......but B and M makes a real good product for the money and it truly depends on your taste and budget.......I will often throw the entire pole in the water if it gets hung up and I'm still catching fish, just grab another pole and back to fishing........so after a day fishing, I'll set the poles out that I used to dry out good.....the eyelets will rust but I have replaced them before if the pole is otherwise in good shape because the eye is only a line guide, I tie off to the pole itself with a clinch knot and tape the tail in two places with electrical tape........I was introduced to this style of fishing as a toddler and never put it down.....I still spin cast from time to time as well.......but you will see me with my telescopic 90% of the time..........

I have one of those Shooting Stars. Haven't used them much, how are they working for you? They seem economical compared to other rods.
