That just looks like a killer fly,Jen. From the pics you have posted, it is! I am still trying to wind hackle and make it look right. Right now mine looks like a clump of feathers stuck on a hook. Can't yet make them look wispy.

Size 8 scud hook is my preferred. Otherwise a size 10 2XL nymph.

Yes Artie those are flashabou wings and yes they do swallow sometimes but the bead chain eyes make it fairly easy to extract. Be sure when you tie in the flashabou wing to tie it in and wrap the peacock herl body over the spot you tie in. Otherwise the gill will rip the wings out immediately.

Tied the fly, but didn' look right, looked at pic again. Are those flashabou wings on the side? The #%%@% fish kept swallowing it. Need clampable fish hook extractors. Left mine in the p.u., won't make that mistake again.

Naybee, looks like a killer. Wow Pretty and ties fly, Think I am going to love this site. Looks like ,peacock herl, copper wire, and bead chain eyes? Any other flies in your arsonal.
