Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

My mission is to apply these to my waters and see what will be caught and report back to David . Very generous of you David ,thank you very much . I know the black foam ant and brown critter will catch gills and Red breasted sunfish but I really want to see what the 'gaudies ' do as well! Fine work there pal!

Thanks, Carl.

Theyre rough, buddy, and I mean R-U-F-F. But Ive caught fish on some of them and they are all patterned after killing designs. I just hope they do some good for their new owners.

Maybe this can help

Floating Fly assortment, bottom, Clockwise from Top Center:

Large Yellow popper, fashioned from a Comal mini cigar float. Made the eyes m'self.

Pink and green mini poppers, copied from Jim Cosgrove originals.

Bottom right - white foam Marv Taylor Ant.

Yellow and White Sneaky Duck, fashioned after Don Schmotzer tutorial

Green Foam Spider, generic with pink yarn tuft on the back for visibility.

Far Left - orange foam spider, generic

Subsurface Assortment, top, from left to right:

** Brown foam "hooper bug" (with the wrong assortment) I think this was tied by Bill Purmort, from the fly swap.

** Yellow/Red Marbou Silent Stinger - I KNOW Tooty ties this one, also from the swap.

Above Tooty Stinger - Bi-visible hackle fly. Original

Below and below right of Tooty Stinger - Clouser-esque streamers. Original.

Center grouping: Various "brim flies" (inspired by Vince Fusco's "Yellow Butt" - no comments, please!), Tan Bully's Spider and Humbug (with black shellback and long rubber legs)

Right Grouping: Black ant, Brown Olive Briminators, Wooly bugger (far right)

Soft hackle type, "wet spider" in front of black ant.

** Those in bold, w/ double asterisk not tied by me. All others came off my vise.

We all copy each other's in mimicry, with slight variations. I believe I see Jen's Naybee variation at the top middle. Various creators' streamers on the top left. Good grief. So much blending that we can't say who's who..you know? The only distinctive ones are the Gronaw's popper's specialty that we all dabbled with, Tooty's stingers, and Mike Chell's/Greg William's and other designs in foam conical poppers. Wait, I think I see the bullet casing ruffle popper on the bottom right (please forgive me for not remember the tyer).
