Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Brother Greg experimenting with soldering hooks to spinner blades . Reminds me of the Hildebrandt 'flicker ', a fine Trout lure .This tipped with shiner heads or tail may be killer on the Crappie I've been catching on Nungesser flutter spoons and Hus spoons. this year .

john if you look closely you can see a groove and creases on the ends.that is to hold the hook to pe soldered in place.these come in many shapes and sizes.these are called ice blades.a little different than what you would use foe a spinner

john you can get ice spoon blades a net craft and a few others.nothing wrong with these but i like the more narrow ice blades.i have made a few with lead tape-any golf club shop has this.i dont usually post stuff unless i catch fish and test and refine something .i have caught fish on my proto type spoons but i am not that confident with them yet but will post some pics.i made mine for open water and will test them more this spring.
