Craig you may be waiting for awhile. I made about a dozen and gave a few to Carl to try. He told me he couldn't use them cause they had 4 hooks his state say's max of 3. When I made them I didn't even think about the number of hooks these was one of the 1st flies I tied. I have quit a few things to make since I've been down revamping for awhile soon it will be catch up time and 3 hook Gilly Worms will be on the agenda.

The little hooks are sharp and hard to see so fingers can be an issue. Not that the hooks are that small just hard to see in the bait they are buried in the chenille.

Thanks Tinman. The Gilly Worm is about 4inches from head to tail. The hooks are a little larger than whats on a Plow Jocky a great bass bait from years ago so I'm thinking if a bass wants it he will pay the price. Being as the hooks are smaller than most bass bait were thinking of today you will need to play the fish and not horse him in or he could possibly pull of. Next batch instead of 4 hooks will be 3 hooks instead. Still be about 4 inches though.
