Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Fat fish getting ready for the Spawn.....Water @ 56 degrees but the fish were a touch deeper today still lurking off the dead grass beds from last year.....

Agree Steve, you have to be very mad at the fish to go after them in 20 to 25 even in a bigger boat....The rain quit here around noon and the main reason I went for a little while was calm winds... almost glass. Looks like a couple cold nights this week and snow for part of the state..LOL....and then warming back up into the 70s by Thursday....

Good fishing Jeffrey. Glad to see those great pictures. Nice to know the water is warming some. Wanted to go today, but the wind was just to much here. 20 to 25 mph winds keep me off the water.

Dick, that's Jeffrey's fish, not mine. But you're right, it is quite nice indeed. My family came through the bad weather without a scratch, thank goodness. I would like to hear your thoughts on the Arbor once you put it to good use, Dick!

Nice one Tony. Did I tell you I got my new Pfluger Arbor reel. Looks nice, went to Bass Pro this evening and pick a rod up for it. You get any then storms here in the last day or two?

I appreciate the consideration Jeffrey. Yes, my family came through the weather alright, not so much for the poor folks just a few miles South of us. My heartfelt condolances to all those who lost so much this weekend.

Thanks Tony....I'm surprised that some of the warmer climate areas aren't starting yet.....The Coppernose were a pleasant surprise and I look forward to more of those guys soon....Indiana was in the news for the worng reasons this weekend, so hopefully you made it through all of that bizarre weather and remember great fishing is right around the corner....

You did good Jeffrey! Nice fish, and good to see the Coppernose. No fishing for me this weekend, (family obligations) so I'm glad to get on here and see some photos posted by the lucky anglers who got out.

Excellent!

These fish are staged in this creek and poised to move in to shallow water with the pending Spring weather....This was the biggest gill this afternoon at a little over nine inches and solid!
