These fish come from the deep, gin clear waters of lake Geneva, Wi.....Several years ago this lake was impacted by the invasion of Zebra mussels....since then the water clarity has improved dramatically and has forced several species to inhabit much deeper water due to light penetration.....it's not uncommon to visually spot Bluegill and Bass beds in 15+ feet of water.....some species here (Largemouth Bass and Walleye) have become totally nocturnal, and are only caught at night......all species that inhabit this lake have amazing colors. Genevas max depth is 176 feet and supports populations of Lake trout and brown trout.....simply an amazing fishery.

the sunfish you catch are great. Are you catching these fish right now? If you are i will drive down there this weekend.....but my vehicle cant hawl my boat i would need a little assistance hint hint

Beautifull bright colors. I don't think I have ever caught one that bright.
