Do you love big bluegill?

Thanks guys, I'm with tony but I think it has more gill than cracker. I'm going to send it to TPWD as a catch and release lake record for BG and see what they say
I would say gillcracker. I'd also say, nice fish, Federico!
Leo, I looked at this fish for a long time, and this is what I see:
The smaller opercular flap, (small for a fish of that size), reminds me of a RES.
The fish seems a little too "tall" for a pure RES.
I see very little coloration on the opercular tab, no red or orange margin.
The traces of mottling on the cheek appears like a RES to me.
The fish seems to have a more projected "nose" also like a RES.
The overall coloration doesn't fit well with either a "pure" BG, or a RES.
I would welcome further evaluation from all interested parties.....if there is one thing I am sure of, it's that Lepomids can display an astounding variance from one location to another. I am always grateful for a chance to learn from those more knowledgeable than myself!
How about it...what does everyone else see?
What a fish Fedrico! Thick and good coloring too>
Intriguing. Tony, mind sharing your eval about this one? Extremely healthy looking specimen.
What a nice specimen.
I see a lot of RES there, but I'm going with hybrid Gillcracker... and it's a biggun!
An awesome fish Federico! I'll leave it to the experts for identification......
bluegill or RE/BG mix?
