Jeff ..I once caught a Warmouth with that coloration I thought ( wrongly obviously ) it was yellowish in color due to the acidity of the water it lived in ..is it that color because it is spawning? Thanks

Thanks guys........Mark only early season in our region....Warmouth tend to start the spawn a bit earlier than bluegill so by mid May they will be very dark almost appearing black in some cases......

Thanks guys........truly jaw dropping colors even more so in person if you will...... a cause for pause.....the sunfish species have got to be tops on the beauty chart........
