Chuck-don't know the X size but I use a 7.5' leader that tapers down to 5lb test and for tippet I use a 4lb test camo crappie line. Bass pro sells it with 500yds & I just spool it on a regular tippet spool.

Nice red ... what tippet are you using ... Here in california we are using 12lb fluoro for our line and 6x tippet...

Leo if you look back thru my pics, this lake does have nice sized redear.....but the fight they give even at this size will turn my tube 360 degrees!!!!!!!

The Shellcrackers are fun to catch and with a 2wt rod I bet it was a good fighting catch.
