I got out an old book of mine,"Crankbaits" by Mike Mc Clelland. It states the 1/5 oz Thin Fins track at 6' on 8#test ? That means probably a little deeper with 6# .I was thinking more like 3 or 4 ' myself. Thats probbably a max depth so it probably stays in a zone longer at shallower depths than rises as it gets closer to the caster .I'm now thinking it may be useful casting for fish holding at 3 and a 1/2 -5 ft and trolling for fish a little deeper. That perch was caught trolling.
The 1/4 oz tracks a few feet deeper according to the chart in the book.
Greedy little feller! I've used Thin Fins for years on 6 pound test. I've never measured how deep they run, but I always considered them to be shallow runners. I'm just gonna take a wild guess of 3 feet.
