I'm fond of 1/80th on a size 12 sickle.  Hopefully soon, I'll be several hundred jigs myself.

In jigs I like 1/80th with a #8 sickle hook . In flies sizes 8-12 . I use the Mustand 3366 for my spider fly , I use x-long streamer hooks for my longer profile flies like wooly boogers . Some of my better producers have a rabbit fur tail and chenille body with a small bead . Bead headed flies are just jigs for fly fishers , just like floats and bobbers are called strike indicators . :) never understood why some fly fishermen turn there noses up at other types of fishing . Rods and reels are just tools , pick the one that does the job the best . Gillchaser

WHAT TYPE OF FLIES; OR JIGS; DO YOU PREFER ?    IN WHAT SIZES  AND COLORS ?

Haha ! I finished up tying a couple dozen more last night . I put in another jig order (400) , a couple days ago that should last me awhile . You can't have too many ! Ordered a few more fly boxes too . Gillchaser

I love tying , but hate to let one go LOL ! It's like they're my babies . I hate to lose one . I'll go out of my way to retrieve one . I keep telling myself I only have about 15-20 cents if that in one , but can't just break off and let go like I do store bought stuff . I've tied a few for my brother and a friend from church who looses them as fast I give him one . But he has issues that affects his casting and I understand . Gillchaser
