I've experimented with it, Ken. From a closed trial perspective, it offers a very appealing presentation.

(Thats a fancy way of saying I tried it in our swimming pool.)

In the pond, however, I cannot say the fish were climbing over themselves to get it. To be blunt, it didn't do squat as far as catching fish is concerned.

Nevertheless, I've looked at a lot of lure types and baits over the years - and these things look great. If you know what a hydra is, that is what they resemble. The fish in my small pond have proven to be easily put off, too, so their lack of attention to the Indiana/Iowa rigged tube is nothing to hang your hat on.

After watching these things, I find it hard to believe that fish wont at least take notice. Im certain vertical presentation is their best use. Do keep us updated

Came across this site while looking for bluegill literature. .. looked like an interesting rig and thought I would share. .. maybe someone on this site has used it and had experience with it. It also looks like it would make a nice vertical jigging presentation even for ice fishing.

Interesting concept I never even thought about rigging the tube that way.
