Thanks Slip......even though it's been twenty years I still feel like I'm learning to target local perch.......they spawn here during our coldest water temps and I located a few stragglers today when I started looking in three to five feet of water for transitioning crappie.........its a strange fishery here......the perch is not an official gamefish so many watermen target them with nets......but they have a cult following on some local rivers that people drive from hundreds of miles away when the spawning runs begin......

...im always impressed with the perch you catch... makes me wonder if there is a bit of European perch mixed in
