WELL;; IF ITS FROM FIGHTING OVER FEMALES;; ONLY GOES TO SHOW;; THAT WOMEEN ARE ALWAYS THE START OF SOMETHING;;; LOLOLOL
Fighting and dodging BIG bass too. Seen some very large bass chasing and hitting some of these 9"+BG.
These fish are bedding on the dam - beds are in between and on rocks - could be rough on the fins.
No Dick, the fish would not use their spiny dorsal fins to keep their spawning beds clear of debris. I think it might be fighting with each other over territory or a female. Maybe rubbing on rocks to scratch an itch or parasite? Who knows?..
LOOK AT THIS HUGE BEAUTY ! EXCELLENT CATCH SONNY !
Maybe keeping the beds clear.
I wonder what it is that causes some of these big fish to get these sore raw fins that are on the spiny part of their fins? My largest had a dorsal fin that was like this. Beautiful healthy fish otherwise.
