Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

5th birthday. Only thing he really wanted was a "real" fishing rod. Never realized how few legit/non-junk kids sized rods with a decent reel there are out there. He really wanted a spinning reel but doesnt quite have the casting down. Got him a Pflueger Trion Underspin on a 5' rod- nice set up- I may take it from him! Rod is a little too long for him but couldn't find a shorter spinning rod in stock anywhere. Hoping for a warm weekend this week to get our lines wet

Thanks guys- he is ready to go- about to wear me out wanting to.  Hoping for some slightly warmer weather this weekend so i can test that reel..... i mean so he can test it out.  @LedHed- I thought about an ice fishing rod but couldn't find any in stock anywhere local and i wanted to see/feel the rod before i bought anything.
