Ok. Fish that thing under a float near weeds this Spring. Tipping the jig with a piece of worm or a Gulp! Maggot is optional, and highly effective. Cast out, and to a slow retrieve. If there's wave action, just do a straight retrieve. If there isn't any wave action, use a twitching retrieve. I find the best floats for this are weighted balsa floats, with the clip on the bottom.
Have you tried painting jigheads yet? That is another very slippery slope to start down. Ask me how I know, ROFL.
thanks Dick. Yes Allen, peacock herl and olive marabou on a 1/64 #8
John, what are the materials? Peacock herl and olive marabou?
Nice Jig John.
Thanks. I don't know if any color would work in the area right now. The water is way up this week. We had over 4" of rain Christmas day. Havent been out to the lake but the dam has been going full throttle with flood gates open and still having a hard time keeping up. Streams by my house are also to/over flood stage. Makes for a nasty day of fishing.
looking good ; do these colors work good in your area ?
