12 inches long!! but average 9 to 10...

Yes Jim, they're in the great lakes. We catch them while fishing for yellow perch in Lake Erie.

Imagine a fish that is plentiful, willing to bite and seen as an invasive nuisance.
That is the white perch in SC.

They are actually true basses, in the same family as stripers.

Amazing how different places view different fish. Most people I know consider them a nuisance while yellow perch fishing on Lake Erie. We've never tried eating them, might have to talk my dad into trying them out on a day with a slow yellow perch bite.
