Yes it was!  These big fish never seem to be that big in the photos, but in person they are just huge.  So many people I talk to say "How can you get so excited about catching Bluegill?"  They are thinking of the little park pond fish that rarely get longer than 5 or 6 inches.  When you can catch them that weigh a pound or more, that is something to get excited about.  And the way they fight, so strong!

Great copper Jeff. LedHed has sure got those big coppers dialed in.

You know Dick that that is me in this pic right?  But I could not have caught it without LedHed's guidance.

There is that famous LedHed pose with another LedHed beauty.

Giant fish anywhere, and I'll second that "coppernose WR" knowing how those fish evolve and the dynamics. This one I caught in PA last week we feel had some coppernose ancestry as it looked the part but was about 300 mile further north than any coppernose I had ever heard of. It too was a heavy fish.

Great fish Jeff!

This might be my 2nd largest Bluegill. Although it's 10 3/4 inches is shorter than my 12 inch 'Northern' Bluegill, the weight of this one is heavier because these fish are just so thick and stout. Thanks LedHed! What a great time I had today!
