Ken - we use 2lb test (XXX izorline & Yo Zuri Hybrid) for all our fishing. Mostly 6 to 7 foot single piece rods - short rods around the docks. We also use, primarily, Pflueger reels or Shimano reels - I like some Quantum reels too.
I tye my own jigs - after a 3lb BG or RE on a jig that I made and tyed. On a rod that I wrapped would be Icing on the cake....
