it was fun just to see the little cat up close, cant wait for him to grow up.

Wow !I got seriously thrown off by this pic !Never suspected it was a lil' Bullhead. I see it now as I look closer and longer at the photo though .

thats a baby bull head catfish, caught it on my ultra light rig while fishing for blue gill.he was tiny, all but my pinky finger were larger. only way i could get him off the hook and back in the water was long skinny forceps i use for gill that have the hook deep. his little body was so slick i couldnt hold him safely. i figured if i got the forceps on his upper lip where the bone and cartlidge is it would be better since the bottom lip looked fragile at his age.  i was shocked never seen such a little cat.esp to get reeled in on a hook! the little blue gill hook was almost to large for his mouth.  a few minutes later i noticed a large school of the little cats all swimming around the shallows looked like 500 of them.  cant wait for them to get nice and fat so i can fish the same spot again.
