Slip ....I find the canals more productive than retention ponds, bigger longer more vegetation for the fish to hide in so therefore better and bigger fish, anywhere south of and including Palm beach co is great fishing, especially Peacock bass, you'd love that fish, what a brawler....when I'm not lazy or in better health I can fish outa a kayack .....

I don't eat the fish in the waters of florida, too
many pesticides, run off from chemical fertilizers, not safe to consume IMHO, last season caught 6-8 lb tilapia and released them, heck tilapia in the store is $8 a lb still wouldn't eat em, also caught a nice Oscar, was going to flip it into the bushes for the birds when A local asked whether he could have it, I said sure you can, he said they are delicious eating fish ... Aquarium fish, go figure ...

Another nice ( invasive aquarium fish ) here in Florida, good fighters ' cichlids, oscars, cannot
Be put back into the waters once they are caught, eat em or leave for the Pelicans and gulls .heavy fine if your caught releasing invasive spiece ....
