Sorry Bruce and Carl just saw your posts ,while revisiting this hilarious pic . BRUCE: I like this more expensive tip up much better . Smoother coming off the arm and spool ,sturdier footing , Bigger and better cloth flag than what I have on other tip ups. Two tension setting for a variety of baits and fish targeted .On these better items I don't ever recall losing a fish or getting a false flag  .Eventually I'll probably only go with these but there are HT plastic tip ups that are a good cheaper option that work for me too.I ended up not liking the old style aluminum spool cheap wood plastic flag types I started with .

 Carl , the pleasure of fishing with these two characters and relatives of mine cannot be described only experienced with a loss for words ! Wish you could've been there  pal!

Great photo. HA! Fun. That's why we go. Do you like the wooden tip-ups better than the plastic?
