carl ... your sonar emitting the sound pulses are acting as a dinner bell for theses fish. look at the way they are shooting up towards the surface and transducer.

Ken;; this unit is a good one;; but still a step down from better units;;;  this unit does not have a port for a sim card;; didn't know that at the time I bought it;;  I can still down load lake maps;; but have to be connected to another hds unit.  but im also thinking;;;  get a hds 7 or 8 unit;; put this one up front on my trolling motor;; problem solved!!

ive noticed that tendency in bluegills is to fly off the bottom towards your boat (red streaks)... they are very curious creatures.
