Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I started these on my snow day Monday. The small one I'll pack in that tin for cane pole fishing.

Super work Keith! What is that red material near the eye ? A glue?

Comment by Keith Ritter on March 9, 2014 at 3:47pm
These are the first two of these I've made. They are a little rougher than the pictures show. I just got back from trying them out in my cousins pond. The small one worked well but the larger one took too much weight to stand up. Some where in the middle is the size I like most. The wood came from a fallen branch on my land, I try to use found materials when I can. I'll never use another styrofoam float again.

nice work again keith.tackle stores are gonna hate you but an artist has to be an artist.look for pop cane in your area.it is lighter and more buoyant than balsa.i do not know what the living plant looks like tho.makes the best floats ever

Great floats buddy. That's something I never thought of but your craftsmanship is terrific.
