Good luck wit it Tooty .These are Dicks ants ,he kindly sent me .I sent you a pic of a single black red one he made that got some Gills a while back .The Black grey one was the one the fish above grabbed .I 'll show you the RBS that took tinier ants I found laying around that started this ant craze.lol

LOL Yes..it does look nearly naked on the back end. I'll make sure to trim down the rubber legs. Thanks for the info. Always great to receive updates to modify things. Looks like I'll be focusing on Carl's and Dick's flies for my arsenal as well. Which ever works, toss the one that don't and focus on the one that do. Never be inflexible.

Leo, tried your spider ,with the red rubber legs, after catching a half dozen or so with Dick 's ant . They 've been getting avoided in  the two lakes I've been using them though ,so I may have to cut back the rubber legs.  I'll let you know and thanks for having me try out your bugs! I'll find an application for them ,they look great .
