Chuck I made them up to fish off the bottom the head is weighted but the sky is the limit as to how you can fish them about anyway you want to, your imagination is your only limit.. I remember when I fished bass tournaments I used a lot of plastics and the gills would constantly eat the tails off my rubber worms. If he goes for the tail in the Gilly Worm he will get stung there's a hook down there just for that purpose.
slip stinker;; these are to super nice to just clip a hook off!! great for show n tell to bass anglers n such around here at bass pro;; not to mention the fly shop.. and everybody who has seen them;; want them!!
How do you fish them?
Carl's wife won't let him use them there in her (what not shelve) so I told him I'll make him some gillies with 3 hooks this fall.
Carl... clip one hook
Wow Carl I can see how that would be a problem.
Dicky;; do you really want me to get these --- wet??? LOL!! but i do have a fairly descent reason i havent used them yet;; seems trivial to me; but;; according to the wildlife game officals here;; its against the law!! something about it having 4 hooks!! in Tn. we;re limited to 3 hooks!! i can only push my game warden buddies just so far;; when i showed them to the wardens;; the eyebrows kind of raised up;;
Thanks Ken. What got me started on these is I watched Bruce Condello's video on catching gills on a whole crawler. That was the thought behind it. I made them some time back surprised Carl hasn't wore them out yet.
wow these are awesome Dick!
